SMALL TOUCHES, LAKE BOGA

DESIGN BRIEF

Style advice and purchase of art and tv unit for Lake Boga residence

January 2017

This design brief focused on sourcing various pieces for the formal dining room, master bedroom and the casual living and dining areas. The casual living and dining had recently been renovated and the pieces to be chosen needed to reflect a more modern home.

The formal dining housed an eight seater table, chairs and large buffet. We wanted to add a real talking piece in here, one that injected a little colour and mood, so we chose a large, framed Designer Boys piece. It's moody purple and blue hues helped set the tone for some future intimate dinner parties.

In the master bedroom, we chose a soft, fluid piece that was quite neutral in colour. The neutral colouring allowed for an easier transition with new quilt covers and bedroom accessories should they be changed out.

In the casual living area we chose a small, compact tv unit in a white finish to compliment the new interior. Location played a key element in our art choice in this space; our home owners were keen water people and were regularly in and around Lake Boga, so an aerial beach view created a really great feature piece for the room.

Art is just one of our specialities here at Visual Appeal. We are in contact with so many great suppliers and talented local artists, so finding the perfect piece for you is easy.
